She is ready for another round
The RCC communuty has voted and on Sept 14th Pat Sandlin has been re-elected for another term
as the RCCA Board President. Both Pat Sandlin and Tom Fowler were elected to serve as our
Board Members for the upcoming 2-year term. Due to business commitments, Tom Fowler has
declined.
Our By-Laws provide in the event of a vacancy on the board, the current members may appointment
a person to fill the position. The Board has asked Liz Gunson to fill the vacancy and she has
accepted the appointment.
We thank all those that casted your ballot. It was great to see the neighborhood getting involved in
the RCC community.

"Construction is wrapping up for the Carl R. Hansen Teen Center at Stanford Settlement, so mark
your calendars for the grand opening--scheduled for Tuesday, November 24.
The new 10,000 square foot teen center will have an indoor basketball court, a large game room,
rooms for studying, counseling, and tutoring, and a kitchen. Area teens will be able to take
advantage of job training, independent study and tutoring programs, and teen parenting classing.
Currently, youth gather in a 800 square foot room that is usually overcrowded with students doing
arts and crafts, playing video games, and getting help with their homework."
Light rail on track to the airport
"Last week Sacramento Regional Transit awarded the construction contract for the first phase of
the Downtown-Natomas-Airport Light Rail Line. The first 1.1 miles of track will be operational
within one year. The goal is to bring Phase 2 across the American River to North Natomas Town
Center by 2017.
Please join Councilmember Tretheway, Congresswoman Doris Matsui, Mayor Kevin Johnson,
and other community leaders for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Green Line on Monday,
October 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Richards and 7th Streets.
The first segment of the Green Line will connect downtown Sacramento to the River District and
is scheduled to open in October, 2010."
Where oh where can I take my dog?
"Several residents joined Councilmember Ray Tretheway and Natomas residents of both the two
and four-legged variety for the opening of the new dog park at the North Natomas Regional Park .
The new 2.5 acre off-leash dog park features two acres for large dogs over 25 pounds and a half

Call of the Wild and Domestic Animals
Please remember that homeowners' yards are not your pets bathroom. If an accident occurs please
clean it up. This is not just a show of respect for your neighbors, but for everyone's health as well.
Raccoons have been reported as a problem in our community lately. One lady had 6 raccoons in
her backyard recently, drooling over her koi pond. Raccoons can also harm small dogs, cats; so
remember that any food you leave outside may be attracting these critters.

Pool and Park Reservation Notice
There is a max of 30 guest allowed when reserving the RCC pool/park. If you have more then 30
guest, addition liability insurance MUST be provided prior to your event. Please see the form for
complete details.
This is a reminder:
That there is absolutely NO glass bottles, container of any type allowed in the pool/park.
There is no propping the doors open of any sort for you or your guest.
Please remember to be courtesy to other homeowners and their guest while in the pool/park.
