Guest Parking Area - Towing Policy May 7, 2008
We are finding it necessary to implement a towing policy in our guest parking areas, because
so many residents are using these lots to park their personal vehicles. Some vehicles are
unlicensed or have expired licenses and have not been moved in weeks. Others are in front of
the postal boxes and are in violation of postal regulations.
Please be aware that with this notice, cars parked in the guest parking areas in violation of our
governing rules will be towed. The process will be to
- tag the vehicle's with a WARNING notice, giving the owner time to move it out of the lot.
- Unless it is moved within XX hours, it will be towed and subject to storage fees.
We realize that our parking space is limited in our community, but each home has at least a one
car garage and space on the driveway to park another car. Street parking is available, although
limited, and it is important to not park across the sidewalks. Parking across the sidewalks is
not only an inconvenience to our residents, it is also a violation of city code.
If you are a non-resident homeowner, please be sure to notify your tenants of the towing policy.
Curbing Your Dog May 7, 2008
Pets are a welcome addition to the families we have living in River City Commons, but we want
them to be enjoyed by everyone.
Walking your dog can be healthy and invigorating exercise and our pleasant neighborhood is a
positive aspect of the experience. However, the experience for your neighbors may not be as
positive as yours, if you don't clean up after your animal. Please remember to always take
along a poop bag in case your dog does its business on your walk. We have received several
complaints that this is happening.
We have also received complaints that animals live in the backyards in our community have
become quite a nuisance to their connecting neighbors, because of odors (dogs and cats) or
barking and in some cases, broken fences. Please be sure to clean up after your animals on a
regular basis and see that they are not negatively affecting your neighbors by their behavior.
