NEW - Common Area Landscape Subcommittee
There is a new subcommittee to identify, research solutions and costs, and make
recommendations to the RCCA board about landscape issues in the common areas.
Common areas are properties and assets owned by all members of the Association.  The
commons area include the court parking lots, the Truxel Rd park entrance and parking lot, the
River City Way entrance, and the interior of the park.  If you want to help this committee, please
send an email to the Architectural Committee at

Not Paying your HOA is not the way to go...
It is no news to anyone that many families are struggling right now just to make ends meet.
And for many HOA dues can seem like an easy expense to put on the back burner when things
are tight.  Unfortunately when a homeowner simply stops paying their HOA dues it can make
things much worse.

Homeowners need to understand that after several months delinquent accounts are forwarded
on to
collections.  The collections process generates hard costs to the association in the form
of attorney's fees.  While the Board is sensitive to problems that homeowners can face,
passing the hard costs paid by the association on delinquent account on to the rest of the
homeowners would be unfair.

The answer for those struggling to make their monthly HOA dues is to contact the association.
We can work with you to make a plan to bring the account current, avoid late fees, and prevent
collections cost from piling up.  If you or someone you know is struggling please come talk to
us* and we can work together to find a solution.

The results are in for the black strip on River City Way?
An application was processed for a speed hump to be placed on River City Way.  The black
strip is the first step taken to determines where  the hump request lies in the priority list.

A black test strip counts the number of cars and the car speed within the next 2 weeks. The
count will be for a 24 hour window in the middle from the time the strip is laid.

The test was done on April 8th.
The average speed was 26.1 mph
The total number of cars that passed over was 254 car total
(138 in one direction, 116 in opposite direction).

River City Way did not qualify for a speed hump.  Next year another strip test can be requested.
